  1. Feb 03,  · Another great album for Thievery Corporation and their best up to this point. The album flows beautifully from start to finish. Opens up with the Pink Floydesque Marching the Hate Machines; the political protest theme continues with Warning Shots and Revolution Solution. Cosmic Game is beautifully ambient as is the Indian Satyum Shivam Sundarum/5().

  8. History. Thievery Corporation was formed in the summer of at Washington D.C.'s Eighteenth Street Lounge. Rob Garza and Lounge co-owner Eric Hilton were drawn together over their mutual love of club life, as well as dub, bossa nova and jazz records. They decided to see what would come of mixing all these in a recording studio, and from this, in the duo started their Eighteenth Street.
  9. Thievery Corporation really developed the complexity of their production on this album, featuring a heavier Brazilian influence, which one can argue does take away from the standard "ambient/ downtempo" sound. Despite this, "The Cosmic Game" is a good listen overall.
